Moss House, University College Birmingham
Interior Design and FF&E for new university building
.png)
We worked on this award winning project via competitive tender for the interior design and FF&E of University College Birmingham's latest building which will house a range of facilities including a diner, student union, employability office, teaching and breakout spaces, staff facilities, and specialist sports teaching spaces.
Working closely alongside project architects Glenn Howells Architects we produced concept designs for a number of key spaces to test and inform the initial design proposals. Close liaison was also required with the specialist catering supplier. We undertook a number of stakeholder consultation meetings including with the student body.
The commission also included the specification and procurement of the furniture package. This process involved a “beauty parade” at which 3 versions of each type of furniture were offered for feedback and selection by the University’s staff.
