the space* studio Away Day 2023 - Venice
Our biggest Away Day yet!
We spent a day at the Biennale Architettura 2023 which was split between two sites, the Pavilions at Giardini and the Arsenale.
The following day we visited MAP Studio and learned a lot about their practice culture and projects.
On our final day we visited the stunning Negozio Olivetti and the Fondazione Querini Stampalia.
TKA Space Studio Manchester Housing Conference Drinks Reception
Hosted at 52two, a theatre and arts charity in Manchester.
We hosted a Drinks Reception whilst at the CIH Housing Conference 2023 in Manchester. It was great to see so many familiar faces and introduce to some connections to our ever-expanding Manchester Studio.

TKA Space Studio Annual Away Day 2022
After a couple of years of lockdowns, we were finally able to continue the tradition of our Annual Away Days, and this time we headed to London. Highlights were; visiting one of our completed projects The English National Ballet Headquarters which we worked on as Interior Designers alongside Glenn Howells Architects. We also visited The Sky Bar for some fantastic views, the very cool Coal Drop Yard, a very inspiring tour and talk at Stanton Williams Architects, saw the newly refurbished Battersea Power Station, and a wonder around the Design District, and finished off a busy two days by winding down at The Standard Hotel.

We were happy to finally be able to see you all post-lockdown as we celebrated 21 years in business. Alongside this milestone, we were also excited to announce we will be bringing The Space Studio and Troy Kidsley Architecture together as we aim to begin trading as TKA Space Studio from April 2022. There was also a huge congratulations to our newly appointed Associates Verneek and Paul.

In 2019 our Annual Away Day(s) took us to Belfast.
First stop was the very impressive Titanic Museum, a stunning building and a very interesting experience.
Next, we visited the MAC Theatre, and it's amazing architecture and interior.
We also visited local practice MMAS Architects who gave us a tour of their studio, as well as an informative tour around the local area. Thank you!
LABC Building Excellence Awards 2019, West Midlands

We were delighted that our project Carpenter Road, Edgbaston was recognised as the winner of 'Best Extension or Alteration to an Existing Home at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2019 West Midlands Regional Finals.

A Double Birthday Celebration!
Celebrating Director Kevin Singh's 50th birthday, as well as the space* studio's 18th year anniversary!

the space* studio Annual Away Day 2018
2018 kick started a new tradition for the space* studio, our Annual Away Day! This year we explored Manchester.
First stop was the impressive Stubbs Mill by Urban Splash and architects SixTwo, a former textile machinery factory, now home to Fanatics Headquarters. Next, we headed to House by Urban Splash, a range of modular homes that homeowners can design themselves, similar to the recent development back in Birmingham at Port Loop. We also visited local practice GA Studio, who were kind enough to show us around their studio and give us a presentation of some of their projects, followed by a tour of completed project XYZ Building.
Brunner Co-Space Launch
A celebration to officially launch our co-working space here at The Space Studio, sponsored by Brunner. Many thanks to all who attended!
The co-space includes various seating and work areas, to suit small groups and individuals. We also have a separate meeting room available to book, suitable for 8-10 people, with TV screen ideal for presentations.
the space* studio 10th anniversary
On Wednesday 22nd September 2010, we were proud to welcome over 150 guests to Metro Bar and Grill to celebrate our 10th Anniversary.
The fantastic turnout saw the launch our first book, "Inside Out" at the event which captures the journey so far. The event was an opportunity for us to thank our clients, consultants, supporters, and ex members of staff for helping us get to where we are today, but also to look to a very exciting future.
We would like to thank everyone for attending and showing their continuing support.
Celebrating Construction Awards 2010

We are delighted to announce that our project at Kingscote Road was recognised as a Winner in the Domestic category. Congratulations also go to the contractor, Horne Developments.

Our Move Into The Jewellery Quarter 2008
The space studio – architects & designers, held a party on 24th April to celebrate its move into a stunning studio in the jewellery quarter.
The event was well attended by clients and consultants whom the practice have worked with over the last 8 years.
During the evening the practice unveiled its designs for an ‘iHub” building in Daventry which was shortlisted in an international Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) design competition from a field of 71 entries. The practice are currently developing the design for the £5.2 million project.
