This project was to extend the existing Lodge Road Surgery in the West Midlands to give patients a spacious waiting area with natural light; attractive entrance with disabled access as well as opening up the dark artificially lit internal corridors which were previously the only routes of circulation for staff and patients.

 

Our design is a contemporary, 42 sq m, one storey structure that succeeds in opening up the practice. It includes a new reception room with desk and private staff area; records room; children's play zone and disabled toilet. We also converted an office to a clinical room; built three new clinical/ treatment rooms plus an enclosed staff area with kitchenette for staff with access to the office mezzanine.
