INTERIOR DESIGNER / INTERIOR ARCHITECT
We have an exciting opportunity for an Interior Designer / Interior Architect to support our busy Birmingham studio.
We operate across new build, refurbishment, and fit out design and are lucky to have clients across numerous sectors such further and higher education, workplace, residential developments, contemporary domestic projects, community and culture, and pretty much anything else! Unlike most interior designers in the region, we do not undertake much work in the hospitality sector.
We work 4 days a week in person in our creative design studio, whilst Wednesday is a company-wide Working From Home day.
We’re looking for someone who embraces our philosophy of blurring architecture and interiors, someone with a positive mindset, a passion for self-developing and someone who takes pride in their work. We need someone who isn’t afraid to take on responsibility and is able to work independently at times, including leading their own projects.
As such, the role is ideally suited to someone with existing experience working in the interior design industry although we will consider high-quality graduates with a specific degree in Interiors.
You will work alongside and be mentored by our established staff team in our friendly, informal, diverse, creative and collaborative studio and so being a team player is essential.
Experience of Autocad is essential and Revit experience will be an advantage, as will the ability to produce high quality CGIs to help convey your design proposals. The use of a car and a full driving licence will be useful but not essential.
The space* studio has been established for 25 years and employs a combination of architecture and interior design staff in our studios in Birmingham and Manchester. This particular opportunity is in our Birmingham Studio.
