Contemporary Extension to Improve Living Space
Our client was a family who were outgrowing the property they lived in and wanted to maximise the potential of the space and extend into the garden to improve connection between the internal and external spaces.

The extension was carefully positioned to maximise daylight throughout the day while strengthening the connection between the kitchen, dining space and garden. Contemporary materials were selected to distinguish the new addition from the existing property without competing with its original character.
Working alongside Suzanne Barnes Design Partnership, the living area and master bedroom have been extended to provide a larger space. The kitchen / dining space has been transformed into a well lit, open plan space, with the use of sliding doors and light wells to allow a seamless connection between the interior space and the exterior.
The Outcome
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design can unlock the potential of an existing home, creating contemporary, light-filled spaces that better support modern family living while respecting the character of the original property. Usable floor space has been increased, natural daylight has been improved and we have created space for flexible family living while considering site restraints and client budget.
