The project was for quality post-graduate student accommodation in the heart of Bristol.

In the light of local competition, student expectations, and rental returns, various options were explored, including these one bedroom options,

and two bedroom options for two friends to share.

...in order to maximise on the daylight available, the mezzanine balustrade is glazed....

Due to the generous ceiling heights available, and consequently the large

amount of daylight which flooded the spaces, the open plan kitchen and

living areas are placed at the window side of the space. The kitchen hugs a new rear wall which forms the bathroom area along with the front line of the mezzanine bedroom area. In order to maximise

on the daylight available, the mezzanine balustrade is glazed, thus avoiding a dark, enclosed space.

All materials, fixtures and fittings are hard wearing and robust, suitable

for rentable student accommodation.
