Training Suite,

Sterex Electrolysis International Limited, Kings Road, Birmingham

Client: Sterex Electrolysis International Limited
Contractor: Condor Interiors
Completion: March 2005

Sterex are the world's largest manufacturer of needles. As part of their manufacturing complex, a training suite to showcase their unique "natural botox" methods was required.

We were commissioned to design a series of spaces which took delegates on a journey from reception to seminar suite, and finally to a practical training facility.

As part of the project, we developed a new brand identity (which is yet to be implemented) with which the aesthetics of the interior started to respond to. The key inspiration was the neon green "Pharmacy" 'cross' lights which are most common in mainland Europe. This green, which draws suggestions of hygiene, cleanliness, and professionalism was used as the principal interior colour.

A strip of this green runs right through the spaces mentioned above in the floor, eventually hitting the focal back wall to announce the end of the journey. A feeling of warmth supplements the reference to the sterile via walnut finishes such as a bespoke reception desk.

Overall, the scheme creates an identity which reflects the international standing of the company, the expectations of the visiting delegates, and the nature of the beauty industry.
