The Eaton Hotel has a long-standing reputation in Birmingham as a quality, independent family run hotel.
We were commissioned to re-design much of the hotel in a £1 million refurbishment project. This included all 52 rooms, the function suite,
reception, and the rear courtyard garden. There was also an element
of re-branding associated with the project. Essentially, the brief was
to raise the profile of the hotel and improve its facilities.
The works had to be phased to ensure that the business could still operate, a critical factor for an independent operator.
The design is of a classic modern style with cool neutral shades and natural oak in the bedrooms, accompanied by a palette of greys in the bathrooms.
The courtyard area was developed to provide a place for guests to smoke in a designated and comfortable area in light of the smoking ban.
Several energy saving systems were installed as part of the project to reduced operational costs.
