This former garage workshop was originally two buildings which were knocked through into one. One of the main design challenges was to make the new salon feel like one space. The space was long and thin, being landlocked on three sides.
A new shopfront was added to make the most of the only aspect. The salon has 13 cutting stations and 6 backwash, a reception, waiting area, and retail area. All back of house facilities are on the first floor.
The design follows a minimal approach with splashes of colour via couture flock wallpaper and vibrant colours. The main space has a feature lantern rooflight which is mimicked in the ceiling raft, creating a dramatic focal point for the whole shop.
