This contemporary apartment is located within the roof space of a listed Victorian building. The apartment is arranged with a main open plan space with two 'private' sections to either side, which form the bedroom and bathroom spaces.

The interior is uncompromisingly modern but it respects the existing building and structure and uses elements such as the exposed timber beams to help create a minimal yet homely, warm feel. The use of various types of lighting including cable suspended low voltage halogens helps to establish the atmosphere.

Due to the diminishing head height under the eaves, much of the furniture specified is on castors which allows for a thoroughly flexible living environment that utilises 'space and time' instead of just space.
