This successful existing salon was refurbished in order to continue its success in an increasingly competitive market in which the environment can be just as important as the quality of service.

Following on from an initial layout provided by the client, the space studio became involved in developing this initial layout and bringing a personality to the space as well as the specification stages, and looking after the project on site.

The design utilises the length of the space and emphasises this via the flooring design and ceiling features. The flooring also distinguishes between the circulation areas and cutting station spaces. Coloured lighting is integrated into the ceiling, which along with the choice of rich materials make the salon very atmospheric.

The project was developed in association with salon furniture specialists Aston and Fincher.
