We were commissioned to make proposals for a 4.5 acre greenfield site adjacent to a former airfield in the West Midlands.

...buildings 'pop up' through the new landscape level for maximum daylight...

The scheme included a 40,000 square foot distribution building, the headquarters building for the same company, and a corporate fitness and health suite for an internationally renowned sportswear company.

The scheme is based on an 'artificial datum' level which is created by a steel frame which has some sections enclosed and others open. The various buildings 'pop up' through the new landscape level for maximum daylight, whilst the lower levels are used for storage, deliveries, and other ancillary services.

The various buildings twist around the organising grid in order to respond to one another and the site around.
