Sterex training suite, Kings Road, Birmingham
Client: Sterex Electrolysis International Limited
Status: Completed March 2005 |
Sterex are the world's largest manufacturer of needles. Located at their manufacturing complex, a training suite to showcase their unique "natural botox" methods was required. Therefore the scheme had to achieve a delicate balance between daily functioning work spaces and an occasionally used training suite.
The project includes a series of spaces which lead delegates from the reception to the seminar suite and on to the practical training facility. The key inspiration for the interior colour scheme as the neon green "pharmacy" cross signs which are commonly found across Europe. This colour draws suggestions of hygiene, cleanliness, and professionalism. A strip of this green runs right through the spaces set in the floor eventually running into a focal bank wall to announce the training suite itself.
key points
- a feeling of warmth supplements the reference to the sterile via walnut finishes such as a bespoke reception desk
- the scheme creates an identity with reflects the international standing of the client
- the project was completed within a tight timescale
- as part of the project we developed a graphics and branding proposal
