This scheme was the third national office for the ISG Group of companies. The brief was to create an open plan arrangement for 39 staff with several meeting rooms and break out spaces in 3000 sq ft in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham.
The design needed to facilitate both permanent and hot desk arrangements as the company’s is rapidly expanding. Aesthetically it was important to reflect the high-end image of the London and Manchester offices. The shell-space was originally created for residential apartments so the restricted ceiling height had to be carefully dealt with, particularly in terms of integrating services. The L shaped spaced is organised into two distinct parts, a large open plan office area and ancillary space such as meeting rooms and staff breakout.
