Environmental Policy Statement

This statement applies to all land, premises and services offered within the control of The Space Studio Ltd.
The Space Studio Ltd is committed to the conservation and improvement of the environment and to minimising the environmental impacts of the risks arising from its activities. The Space Studio Ltd will manage its operations in ways that are environmentally sustainable and economically feasible and provide appropriate environment education programmes for its staff and students.
In order to achieve this aim, the Company has the following key objectives: promote sound environmental management policies and practices throughout the company; comply with the requirements of relevant legislation; make efficient and environmentally responsible use of energy and water; promote environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services; minimise waste production as far as is practicable, to reuse or recycle waste where appropriate and to regulate the treatment and disposal of residual waste; reduce and, where practicable, prevent pollution; minimise the impact of transport on the environment arising from its own vehicles and those who supply the Company; minimise any adverse environmental impact of any development of the Company; maintain our properties in an environmentally sensitive way; communicate within the Company and to our Clients the Company’s environmental performance; raise awareness of staff of the Company’s environmental impact, activities and performance and to promote individual good practice; In respect of the consultancy services we provide to our Clients, we will further: advise our Clients at all times on the objective of this policy; continually seek to improve environmental performance of any projects that we are involve with; quantify and reduce environmental impacts of buildings, bearing in mind the whole life cycles of energy and material supplies; integrate environmental concerns into all planning and design decisions, maintenance and management of its properties including sustainable development principles; encourage and participate in the development of more environmentally sustainable buildings.
The main responsibility for implementation of this policy lies with the Directors of the Company, and as such, the Directors will actively monitor the performance of the Company’s operations in the implementation of the key objectives of this Policy in the activities under their control. Whilst the Directors of the Company accept the main responsibility for implementation of this policy, all individuals within the Company have an important role in co-operating with those responsible for safeguarding the environment, individuals are required to abide by riles and requirements made under the authority of this policy.
