This temporary building houses a 30 children nursery with surprisingly playful interior spaces whilst meeting stringent OFSTED requirements.
This temporary building is a catalyst project for the redevelopment of the Edgbaston campus, housing the Student Services run day nursery. We worked alongside Student Services and the Estates Department and managed the design, organisation, tendering, and permissions process. This involved liaison with Calthorpe Estates as well as statutory Planning and Building Regulations requirements. Internally the scheme responds to statutory requirements such as providing private parental spaces, nappy changing facilities, and food and milk-warming preparation areas.
